As a responsible food production, processing & Export company, GACON Ltd is proud to be in the vanguard of creating awareness against child labour and unfavorable working conditions children in Ginger production zone across Southern Kaduna, Kaduna state, Nigeria.

In partnership with CRUDAN/Fair Labour, our very own Joyce Zaphaniah (GACON Staff) recently facilitated a highly engaging training session in Antong community, Kachia LG, Kaduna state.

The session brought together parents, children, community leaders, and religious leaders to openly discuss:

The concept of child labour

Categories of child labor that must be eliminated

Causes and consequences of child labour

The highlight? Every participant agreed:

Childhood is for learning, not earning

Children belong in schools, not factories

Every child deserves a safe, protected, and joyful childhood

This impactful initiative was so significant, it was featured in top National Dailies such as Leadership, ThisDay, The Punch, Nigeria Tribune, as well as local media outlets like NAN, Pulse.ng, The Reporter, and others.
