At the just-concluded NEPC Trade Mission to Mexico, GACON’s Group Managing Director (GMD) participated in a pivotal meeting with key officials at SENASICA (Servicio Nacional de Sanidad, Inocuidad  Calidad Agroalimentaria).

SENASICA, a critical arm of Mexico’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (SAGARPA), is responsible for:

✅ Regulating & enforcing phytosanitary standards
✅ Monitoring plant & animal health
✅ Ensuring food safety & quality through inspections
✅ Issuing export/import certifications
✅ Collaborating on international trade standards

The heart-to-heart discussions focused on strengthening bilateral trade, ensuring compliance with global food safety regulations, and unlocking new opportunities for Nigerian agro-exports in the Mexican market.
